Chad Green Earns Fifth Save In Nightcap
3 years agoNew York Yankees relief pitcher Chad Green earned his fifth save of the year Tuesday, closing out the second game of the doubleheader with the Boston Red Sox. Green didn't allow a baserunner, striking out one batter in his inning of work. Green appears to be the primary closer option for manager Aaron Boone with Aroldis Chapman injured, but fellow reliever Jonathan Loaisiga is seeing opportunities as well. Green also has 15 holds to his name this year, making him a better investment in leagues that reward the statistic, but he has some short-term value in traditional leagues as well.
