Chad Green Charged With Third Loss
4 years agoNew York Yankees relief pitcher Chad Green was saddled with his third loss of the season in Thursday's defeat at the hands of the Astros. Green entered the game in the eighth inning with a one-run lead and didn't have his best stuff, surrendering a walk, an infield single, and a three-run homer to Jose Altuve before giving way to Lucas Luetge. The veteran reliever hasn't had good luck in the wins department, as he now has an 0-3 record, though he still possesses a nice 2.50 ERA in 18 innings of work. Green should fare better moving forward, as he still ranks in the 91st-percentile in expected ERA and wOBA.
