Cesar Hernandez Has Worst Game Of His Career
6 years agoTuesday night’s game between the Philadelphia Phillies and Los Angeles Dodgers would end in the early hours of Wednesday, as the marathon game lasted 16 innings. While the Phillies would record seven runs on 11 hits, their leadoff man would not contribute anything at the plate. Philadelphia Phillies second baseman Cesar Hernandez recorded no hits in seven plate appearances, striking out four times, easily the worst game of his career. He was one of four hitters in the game to strike out four times. While it was an astronomically-poor game, don’t expect this to result in a slide for the 28-year-old. After all, he’s still one home run and one RBI away from tying his personal records in each category, seemingly well on his way to posting career bests in both.
