CeeDee Lamb Set Up As A Week 1 Starter
4 years agoDallas Cowboys rookie wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is set to start in Week 1 against the Los Angeles Rams. Lamb of course got no preseason games and is coming from the Big-12, where defenses essentially don't exist, so he could have a bit of a bigger learning curve than some are expecting. Still, with Mike McCarthy running three-wide sets as his base offense, Lamb will be on the field a lot and should man the slot at least at first. Last season, Randall Cobb, a significantly less talented receiver than Lamb, saw 83 targets in a similar role. Lamb might not be great in Week 1 or Week 2, but he should be able to catch up quickly and show why he was a first-rounder pretty soon after.
