CC Sabathia Goes Six, Earns Win
5 years agoComing off his milestone 250th victory, New York Yankees veteran CC Sabathia put forth a quality start and earned his fifth win of the season. The left-hander went six innings, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks. He went on to strike out nine, including the final batter he faced, escaping a jam with runners on the corners. Now in his final season, this is the kind of performance the Yankees would be thrilled to get from Sabathia when he pitches. With the Yankees set to have a number of days off later in the week due to their two-game set in London, Sabathia isn't set to pitch again for eight days.
