CC Sabathia Goes Seven Innings In Toronto Victory
6 years agoAfter splitting a doubleheader in Detroit on Monday, the New York Yankees began another two-game set on Tuesday, this time in Toronto against the Blue Jays. On the mound was veteran left-hander CC Sabathia, who was looking to rebound after a rough start against the Houston Astros his last time out. He would succeed, going seven innings and surrendering just two runs on three hits while walking only one. Striking out six, this was his longest start since the end of April, as he improved his record to 3-1 on the year, while his ERA has now dropped to 3.59. His next start is scheduled for Tuesday night in the Bronx against the Washington Nationals.
