Casey Mize Shut Down With Continued Elbow Discomfort
2 years agoThe Detroit Tigers have shut down starting pitcher Casey Mize (elbow) from throwing as he has been dealing with continued right elbow discomfort. He was experiencing the discomfort while playing catch from 90 feet. The team is currently in the midst of seeking medical opinions on him. Mize has been out since April 15 and this week's development is yet another setback for him. In mid-May, he was sent out on a rehab assignment, but the team chose to pause his assignment and reassess after he struggled in his first start. We should have more information in regards to the team's plans with him in the coming days.
