Casey Legumina Throws Side Session
1 year agoCincinnati Reds rookie right-hander Casey Legumina (head, shoulder) threw a side session on Tuesday that went well, according to manager David Bell. Legumina is currently in Arizona on a throwing program, but he had a mishap on July 18 when he was hit on the head by an errant throw. He skipped his throwing session due to a headache but was expected to be OK. Bell thinks Legumina might need a week to 10 days on a minor-league rehab assignment before he's activated from the injured list. The 26-year-old reliever allowed 11 runs (eight earned) on 15 hits while walking three and striking out 11 in 11 2/3 innings in his first 10 appearances out of the bullpen in the big leagues earlier this year.
