The 32-year-old should be in for considerable action with Thatcher Demko listed as week to week with a lower-body injury. DeSmith has been mediocre this season as he sports a 2.85 goals-against average and an .898 save percentage in 19 starts, going 8-4-5 in the process. Nonetheless, his short-term fantasy value takes a major leap forward with Demko sidelined, although he is a risky streaming option on Wednesday as the Avs sit first in the league with 3.71 goals per game on the season. --Brenton Kemp
