Case Keenum To Sign Two-Year Deal With Texans
Case Keenum intends to sign a two-year deal with the Houston Texans. The 35-year-old played his first two seasons in the NFL with Houston and will now apparently back up or serve as a bridge QB for whichever signal-caller the Texans select in the 2023 NFL Draft. Keenum has played 10 NFL seasons, totaling 14,884 passing yards, 78 passing touchdowns and 48 interceptions. If he starts at the beginning of the season, he'll be worth rostering in superflex or two-QB leagues. If not, he won't be on the fantasy radar.

Case Keenum Injured In Preseason Finale As Texans Evaluate QB Depth
Case Keenum (arm) started the final preseason game against the Los Angeles Rams but was injured during the contest. Keenum appeared to hurt his arm while following through on a throw. He completed four of eight passes for 32 yards. He narrowly avoided an interception on a misfire with wide receiver John Metchie III, who was open, before being replaced by fourth-string quarterback Tim Boyle. Boyle performed well, completing nine of 13 passes for 64 yards and a touchdown to fullback Troy Hairston in the first half at NRG Stadium. Pro Bowl quarterback C.J. Stroud did not play as he prepares for the season opener against the Indianapolis Colts on Sept. 8. Davis Mills has secured the backup role. With Keenum now waiting to see if he or Boyle will be chosen as the third-string quarterback, Keenum may have the edge given his quasi-coach role in Stroud's development.

Case Keenum Will Start At Quarterback In Week 16
Case Keenum has been confirmed as the Week 16 starter with C.J. Stroud (concussion) unable to play, according to KPRC's Aaron Wilson. Keenum drew the start over fellow backup Davis Mills last weekend, and while that decision seemed somewhat surprising, it paid off. The veteran led the Texans to an overtime victory, completing 23 passes for 229 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. This week, he'll rank as a fantasy QB3 against the Cleveland Browns' strong defense.

Case Keenum Likely To Start In Week 16
Case Keenum is expected to start against the Cleveland Browns in Week 16. Starting quarterback C.J. Stroud (concussion) is still in the concussion protocol and is reportedly unlikely to play in Week 16. That puts Keenum in line to take on his former team at home in Houston. Keenum started in place of Stroud in Week 15 and completed 23 of his 36 passes for 229 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in an overtime win over the Tennessee Titans. Keenum will not be a recommended fantasy option heading into the semifinal round of the fantasy playoffs.

Case Keenum Throws For One Touchdown In Week 15 Win
Case Keenum did just enough in the team's 19-16 overtime win against the Tennessee Titans in Week 15. Keenum filled in for the injured C.J. Stroud (concussion) on Sunday and completed 23-of-36 passes for 229 yards and one touchdown with one interception. The veteran's lone touchdown came late in the fourth quarter when he connected with wide receiver Noah Brown for a three-yard score to tie up the game. It remains to be seen if Stroud will clear concussion protocols before next week's game. If he can't, Keenum could be in line for another start against the Cleveland Browns in Week 16.
