Carter Hart Bounces Back Nicely In Road Win
6 years agoPhiladelphia Flyers goaltender Carter Hart allowed just one goal on 38 shots in Sunday's 3-1 road win against the Detroit Red Wings. He was playing on consecutive days for the first time in his NHL career, bouncing back after yielding a career-high five goals in an overtime win on Saturday in the front end of the back-to-back set. "His response was obviously tremendous," interim head coach Scott Gordon said. Hart improved to 13-6-1 with a 2.53 goals-against average and .924 save percentage through 20 starts. He has Cam Talbot, a veteran, coming over from Edmonton in a trade, but if the rookie keeps playing like this he has nothing to worry about.
