Carter Hart Beats Penguins With 31 Saves
4 years agoPhiladelphia Flyers goaltender Carter Hart had one of his best games of the season on Thursday against Pittsburgh, finishing a 2-1 shootout win with 31 saves. Jakub Voracek scored the only Flyers goal in regulation, and Claude Giroux and Sean Couturier beat Tristan Jarry in the shootout. Hart had gone seven games without a win prior to Thursday. It's been a tough year for the young netminder, who carries a 9-11-5 record with a 3.67 goals-against average, a .877 save percentage and one shutout. He hasn't won back-to-back outings since the very first games of the season, and Saturday's matchup against Washington isn't exactly an ideal spot to end the poor run.
