Carson Wentz Participates In 11-On-11 Drills
3 years agoIndianapolis Colts quarterback Carson Wentz was activated from the COVID-19 list and immediately returned to 11-on-11 drills. Wentz missed practice Monday through Wednesday but wasted no time in returning and getting back to work. This suggests that Wentz will be available to play in the Week 1 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. Wentz had foot surgery on August 2, and the recovery timeline is 5-to-12 weeks. It has been a month since the surgery, so although Wentz's availability is encouraging, he runs the risk of re-injury. Week 1 could be a high-scoring shootout against Russell Wilson and the Seahawks. Not many fantasy managers will start Wentz unless their QB1 is injured, however, the first matchup looks enticing for the Colts because Wentz will have the throw the ball more than usual to keep up with the Seahawks high-powered offense.
