Carson Wentz On Track To Be Ready For Season Opener
3 years agoIndianapolis Colts quarterback Carson Wentz (foot) is trending towards being ready to go for the team's regular season opener against the Seattle Seahawks, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen. Wentz underwent foot surgery on August 2 and it was announced that he would be out for five to 12 weeks. Clearly, he's trending toward the shorter end of that estimate. Guard Quenton Nelson (foot), who had the same operation on his foot as Wentz, is also on pace to play in Week 1. This news isn't just great news for Wentz and Nelson. It's also great for all members of the Colts' offense, particularly Jonathan Taylor, who some fantasy pundits were starting to worry about due to his lack of support if Wentz and Nelson missed extended time.
