Carmelo Anthony Leads Portland In Scoring On Sunday
4 years agoPortland Trail Blazers forward Carmelo Anthony turned back the time on Sunday, finishing as the team's leading scorer in a 109-101 loss to Charlotte. He notched 24 points in 28 minutes on 8-for-19 shooting off the bench. C.J. McCollum led the starters with 22 points. Melo was 6-for-12 with the three-ball and added three rebounds to his line with two assists and one steal. Anthony has two 20-point efforts in his past three games. He is currently getting more minutes -- and more shots, of course -- with Damian Lillard (hamstring) on the shelf. The veteran forward will try to keep his good scoring form going against the Clippers on Tuesday.
