Carlos Santana Struggling Through The Start Of June
3 years agoKansas City Royals first baseman Carlos Santana has been slumping at the plate throughout the start of June. Over eight games, he's gone just 4-for-28 with five walks and no extra-base hits. He's slashing .143/.294/.143 over the eight-game stretch. Santana has had a decent year overall. Through 60 games, he's slashing .235/.370/.402 with 10 home runs, 36 RBI and 34 runs. He ranks in the 97th percentile in walk rate (16.9%) and in the 90th percentile in strikeout rate (14.6%). His .247 xBA and .489 xSLG suggest there's better production to come. Expect to see him snap out of this slump soon.
