Carlos Santana Sitting Out Wednesday
7 years agoThe Philadelphia Phillies will wrap up their road series in Atlanta against the Braves Wednesday, seeking another series win. They’ll do so, however, without first baseman Carlos Santana, who is taking a day of rest. It will be the 32-year-old’s first game off this season, making him the last Phillies player to have played in every game thus far. Santana has stumbled early on this season, hitting just .136 with two home runs and 10 RBI in 16 games played. In his absence, Rhys Hoskins will move from the outfield to first base, allowing the other three outfield regulars to start with Vince Velasquez on the hill.
