7 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Carlos Martinez (lat) will undergo a follow-up MRI on his strained lat muscle. The team is hoping to see improvement from when he was first placed on the disabled list last Thursday. Martinez missed a turn in the rotation and manager Mike Matheny has already confirmed he will miss at least one more. John Gant is expected to take the start in his place, but the team has not officially announced that just yet.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
