6 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals pitcher Carlos Martinez (shoulder) is set to start a rehab assignment on Sunday with Single-A Peoria. Martinez will be used as a reliever once he is ready to return, as the team believes that gives him the best chance to stay healthy. He was thought of as a potential saves candidate before Jordan Hicks took off and dominated in April. Martinez should work his way into a setup role and will have value in holds leagues once he's fully back on track.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
