5 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals closer Carlos Martinez picked up his 10th save of the season on Friday, tossing a scoreless ninth inning. He allowed a hit and notched a strikeout. He needed just 12 pitches, lowering his ERA to 3.62. He went through a little rough patch lately, but he's been solid overall in the closer's role. He'll maintain value in holds leagues, but he could be replaced in the ninth inning before the trade deadline, which would kill his value in standard formats.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
