4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals pitcher Carlos Martinez has earned a spot in the starting rotation. Things were trending in this direction, but manager Mike Schildt made it official, sending Kwang-Hyun Kim to the bullpen. Martinez was effective as a reliever (and sometimes closer) last season, but he's made it clear that his goal was always to work as a starter. He may have some limitations in his first few starts, especially because he got to Summer Camp a bit late, but he should be a solid fantasy option in most formats this season once he gets stretched out.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
