6 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Carlos Martinez (lat) said he felt "really good on the mound" in his Thursday rehab start with Double-A Springfield. He threw 63 pitches, allowing two solo home runs in four innings while striking out four without issuing a walk. He reportedly hit 99 mph on the radar gun. As long as he recovers fine from the rehab start, Martinez is expected to return to the Cardinals rotation to face the Marlins on Tuesday.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
