Carlos Gomez Was Lone Offensive Highlight Versus Boston
7 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Carlos Gomez was the main Rays offensive player to find much success Saturday versus Boston. He scored both Tampa Bay runs, including hitting a solo home run. Gomez was a superstar back in 2013 and 2014. In those two seasons, he combined for 47 home runs and 74 steals with a .284 average in both seasons. He has since struggled and has not played more than 118 games in any of the past three seasons while playing for three teams. He should be owned in most leagues that start five outfielders or have 12 or more teams with more than four bench spots.
