Carlos Estevez Records 25th Save
1 year agoLos Angeles Angels relief pitcher Carlos Estevez was tasked with holding a one-run lead versus the Houston Astros on Sunday. The right-hander has put together some rough outings lately, but was able to get back on track here. Estevez only needed 12 pitches to retire all three batters in order, including two strikeouts. The 30-year-old recorded his 25th save of the season as he continues to be one of the better surprise stories out of the bullpen. Estevez holds a 3.42 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and a 56/27 K/BB ratio across 47 2/3 innings this season.
