Carlos Estevez Placed On IL With Finger Strain
4 years agoColorado Rockies relief pitcher Carlos Estevez (finger) was placed on the 10-day injured list with a sprained middle finger, according to Thomas Harding of MLB.com. The move is retroactive to April 30, as the Rockies have recalled outfielder Sam Hilliard from the alternate site in a corresponding move. Through 10 innings of work this year, Estevez has a 3.60 ERA with 10 strikeouts, while allowing 10 hits and four walks. In prior years Estevez has been a decent play in SV/HLD formats, but so far this season he has only one save and no holds in 10 appearances. When he returns he could be worth looking at in SV/HLD formats, but managers shouldn't consider him a top-tier target.
