6 years agoHouston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa (back) will officially be placed on the disabled list on Friday. The move comes as a huge blow to the Astros and fantasy owners alike. The young shortstop had been considered day-to-day with stiffness in his back, and is now being shut down in order to recover. Marwin Gonzalez will probably take over shortstop duties while Correa is out, but Gonzalez hasn't been a great fantasy option this season. It remains to be seen whether the Astros will call someone up from the minors to provide depth while Correa recovers.--Mauricio Castillo
