Carlos Correa Resting For Friday's Game Against Rangers
4 years agoHouston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa is getting what manager Dusty Baker is describing as a "much needed day off" on Friday as the team faces Kyle Gibson and the Texas Rangers. Aledmys Diaz is getting the start at shortstop and hitting seventh in the game. Correa has played in 42 of the team's 44 games this year while many of his teammates have been in and out of the lineup with injuries. He's currently riding a six-game hitting streak that has included two doubles, a home run, five RBI and six runs. He only has one strikeout over the six-game stretch. Expect to see him back in the lineup on Saturday.
