Carlos Correa Not Expected To Play In All-Star Game
5 years agoHouston Astros manager A.J. Hinch said it's not realistic for shortstop Carlos Correa (rib), who has been out since May 26 with a fractured rib, to play in the All-Star Game. Correa has yet to resume baseball activities with the game two weeks away. He was seen running on Tuesday and said he feels great, but he will first need to get clearance from doctors before taking ground balls, throwing and hitting. The 24-year-old could return right around the All-Star for fantasy owners. He was hitting .295/.360/.547 with 11 homers, 26 runs, 35 RBI and one steal before his injury. Correa is a high-end fantasy shortstop, but the problem is he has struggled with injuries the last two seasons.
