Carlos Carrasco Throws A Gem On Tuesday
3 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco went eight innings and allowed no runs, six hits and two walks while striking out five in the Mets 3-0 win over the Braves in the second game of a doubleheader on Tuesday. It was another superb outing for Carrasco, who now owns a 3.30 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and a 28:6 K:BB over 30 innings pitched on the season through five starts. Carrasco improved his record on the year to 2-1. It was a nice rebound for Carrasco, who was roughed up in his last start against the Cardinals on Wednesday. Carrasco will look to keep the strong start to the 2022 campaign going his next time out when he faces the Phillies on the road on Sunday in another tough matchup.
