Carlos Carrasco Is Several Days From Throwing
2 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco (elbow) is two to three days from throwing, per manager Buck Showalter. Carrasco is dealing with inflammation and a small bone spur in his right elbow and received a small injection earlier this week. The team will know more about his status once he resumes throwing. The idea is that the injection and the time off will help him avoid a lengthy absence but that remains to be seen. The 36-year-old hurler got off to a horrible start this year, putting up an 8.56 ERA, 1.61 WHIP, and 8:8 K/BB ratio over 13 2/3 innings.
