Carlos Carrasco Expected To Return In Second Week Of May
4 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco (hamstring) is expected to return to the rotation in the second week of May. Carrasco pitched four innings in a scrimmage, so he's nearly built up his arm for game action. The veteran suffered the hamstring strain during spring training- and appears to be right in line with his six-to-eight week timeline, perhaps more toward the six-week end of things. Carrasco was excellent for the Indians in 2020, pitching to a 2.91 ERA with 82 strikeouts compared to 27 walks.
