Carey Price Looks To Continue Recent Success Versus Maple Leafs
4 years agoMontreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price will be between the pipes for Wednesday's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The former MVP posted a 3-0-0 record against the high-flying Leafs offense last year and excelled throughout the playoff bubble. Jake Allen will take away some starts, but Price remains a top-10 fantasy goalie. The Canadiens improved over the summer, which means the team in front of him should be able to give him more support. Going against the Leafs is always scary, but Price is a worthwhile play on Wednesday.

Carey Price Shines In Return To Canadiens
3 years agoMontreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price played his second National Hockey League game of the season on Tuesday night against the Minnesota Wild. He stopped 28 of 30 Wild shots for a .933 save percentage in the game. The Canadiens lost the game because they couldn't find a way to solve Cam Talbot, who posted a shutout. In his two games since returning from an extended leave of absence, Price has a 2.02 goals-against average and a .918 save percentage. He hasn't won a game yet, but that's because of the lack of goal support from his team. It remains to be seen whether he will continue his career next season or hang up his skates for good.

Carey Price Allows Two Goals In Season Debut
3 years agoMontreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price made his season debut with a 17-save performance in Friday's 3-0 loss against the Islanders. The 34-year-old appeared in his first game since July of 2021, when he helped lead the Canadiens to the Stanley Cup Final against the Tampa Bay Lightning in the shortened season. Price was perfect through 40 minutes before giving up a pair of goals in the third period, and he would finish with 17 saves on 19 shots against on the night. Price will likely make his next appearance in Tuesday's contest against the Wild, and fantasy managers are glad to see the veteran goaltender back in action after missing almost the entire season.

Carey Price Hopes To Return Soon
3 years agoMontreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price (knee) is hopeful that he will be able to make his season debut sooner than later. The 34-year-old dealt with a few setbacks in his rehab process after undergoing offseason knee surgery in July. On Saturday, Price was skating in full equipment for the first time since the middle of December, and his progress over the coming weeks will be the deciding factor on his return date. Price was significant factor in the Canadiens' run to the Stanley Cup Finals last season, and fantasy managers should continue to stash the veteran goaltender as he nears a return to the crease for the first time since last July.

Carey Price Set To Rejoin Team On Monday
3 years agoMontreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price is expected to return to the team on Monday. The former league MVP hasn't yet played this season after entering the NHL's player assistance program on Oct. 7. Price has also been recovering from offseason knee surgery, so it might take a while until he's ready to help the team. The 34-year-old had a pretty inconsistent regular season last term, but he played a massive part during the team's run to the Stanley Cup Finals. Price sits on 360 career wins through 695 starts and has registered a 2.50 goals-against average with a .917 save percentage and 49 shutouts.
