2 years agoThe St. Louis Cardinals are reportedly "active in the free agent shortstop market," according to a tweet from MLB Network's Jon Morosi on Monday morning. Morosi tweeted the following: "The #STLCards are active in the free-agent shortstop market, sources say, as I reported earlier today on @MLBNetwork." Last season, the Cardinals primarily utilized Tommy Edman, Paul DeJong and Edmundo Sosa at shortstop, though Edman can play a number of other positions, including second base, third base and in the outfield, while Sosa was traded to the Philadelphia Phillies at the trade deadline.--Ben Rosener - RotoBaller
