Cardinals Backup Receivers Star In First Preseason Game
6 years agoThe Arizona Cardinals mostly played their backup receivers in the team's first preseason game and had few standouts in the game. Christian Kirk led the wide receiver room with two receptions (for nine yards), while tight end Andrew Vollert had three receptions for 19 yards. The top receiver in yards was Jalen Tolliver, who had one grab for 48 yards. For now, expect the veteran receivers to feature more heavily as the preseason goes on and for a bigger involvement from tight end Ricky Seals-Jones, who was limited to one catch for six yards in the team's opening game.
