Cardinals Acquire Joshua Dobbs From The Browns
1 year agoThe Arizona Cardinals acquired quarterback Joshua Dobbs and a seventh-round pick in the 2024 draft from the Cleveland Browns on Thursday in exchange for a fifth-round pick in 2024. The move comes just after the Browns named Dobbs as the backup to Deshaun Watson. With Dobbs now gone, rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson and Kellen Mond will continue competing for the backup job entering the 2023 season. Kyler Murray (knee) is expected to miss around half of the season, so Dobbs will give the Cardinals another potential starting option if they aren't happy with veteran Colt McCoy and rookie Clayton Tune. Arizona also has David Blough and Jeff Driskel on their current roster at the position.
