Can Cody Bellinger Take The Next Step?
6 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers first baseman Cody Bellinger is quietly having a solid spring, slugging .535 through 43 spring at-bats. After a breakout rookie season, Bellinger saw his home runs dip from 39 in 2017 to only 25 last season. He also saw a regression hitting with runners in scoring position, hitting only .245 last season after posting a .276 mark in his rookie campaign. The key for Bellinger this season will be producing right out of the gate. The third-year player made his mark in '17 by smashing 25 home runs before the All-Star break but hit only .245 in the first half of last season. Bellinger will be counted on to drive in runs this season and has top-15 potential among outfielders in fantasy.
