Camilo Doval Secures Fourth Save On Monday
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants pitcher Camilo Doval struck out one over a scoreless inning to earn the save during Monday's 4-2 win over the Milwaukee Brewers. He entered the ninth inning to protect a two-run lead. After throwing three straight balls, the right-hander settled down and retired all three hitters he faced to secure his fourth save of the season. The 24-year-old is 4-for-5 in save opportunities with a 3.24 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, and nine strikeouts over 8 1/3 innings in 2022. Doval continues to split save chances with Jake McGee but leads the team with four saves compared to McGee's two.
