Cameron Payne Goes Off In Loss
2 years agoPhoenix Suns guard Cameron Payne stepped up and gave this team a much needed boost on offense on Thursday. The Suns were without Chris Paul and Deandre Ayton, but oddly enough Payne is the one that steps up. He made his first seven shots from beyond the arc as Payne ready to play. Sadly, the rest of the Suns roster wasn't able to offer Payne much support in this game. Payne finished with 31 points, six rebounds, and two assists in the Game 6 loss to the Denver Nuggets. Payne was asked to start the final four games of this series, but this game was really the only game where he played well. He still has another year on his contract, so expect him to backup Paul next season.
