Cameron Leary Goes Deep Twice, Swipes Three Bags
5 days agoAthletics outfield prospect Cameron Leary enjoyed a breakout game with Low-A Stockton on Wednesday evening. In this contest, the 23-year-old went deep twice and swiped three bags. He tallied three total hits, six RBI, and three runs. Leary had not tallied a hit season in the season opener, where he tallied two hits. These were also his first two long balls of the Low-A regular season. The Athletics drafted Leary in the 10th round of the 2024 MLB Draft out of Boston College. After the draft, the Athletics assigned Leary to Low-A Stockton, where he played in the final 20 games of the regular season. In this short stint, he held a modest .222/.309/.395 line with three home runs and four stolen bases. If he continues to turn the corner at Low-A, he should be in the mix to move up to High-A in the coming months.
