Cameron Davis Riding High Coming Into Charlotte
2 years agoQuail Hollow isn't typically a venue where we're looking too far down the betting board, but if there was one player we're particularly excited about in the triple digits, it would be Cameron Davis. Fresh off of his second top-seven finish in three starts, Davis rates out as not only one of the more prolific drivers of the ball in the field (ninth in strokes gained off the tee and 22nd in driving distance), but also one of the few players to rank inside the top 15 in all three of our key proximity ranges (150-175, 175-200, 200-plus). Ball-striking upside is clearly there for the 28-year-old Aussie, and he's got some positive history to fall back on around this venue as well, placing 26th here in 2021 and scoring two points for an outclassed international team at last year's President's Cup. Coming off of the best tee-to-green week of his career at Harbour Town, we see no reason why Davis can't improve on his top-30 finish from two years ago.
