Cameron Brate May See Increased Role Moving Forward
3 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cameron Brate could be in line for an expanded role on Sunday night against the Patriots and moving forward. Brate, who totaled 282 yards and two touchdowns last season, played a season-high 45 percent of the snaps while hauling in four of five targets for 35 yards last week. He should increased playing time in the coming weeks with Rob Gronkowski (ribs) banged up and potentially on the sidelines for multiple weeks. The veteran came up big during the team's 2020 Super Bowl run, exceeding 50 receiving yards twice. Brate's rapport with quarterback Tom Brady gives him streaming appeal until Gronkowski returns.
