Brooklyn Nets guard/forward Cam Thomas (hamstring) will not be in the lineup on Saturday against the Boston Celtics. Brooklyn will give the talented scorer some time off to manage a hamstring injury as the team begins a back-to-back set. Thomas is likely to return to action on Sunday against the Atlanta Hawks. Keon Johnson stepped in for Thomas in the starting unit Monday night against the Los Angeles Lakers and may receive another start on Saturday. Tyrese Martin will likely also see more action with Thomas on the shelf.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Brooklyn Nets guard/forward Cam Thomas (hamstring) will be back on the court Friday against the Portland Trail Blazers. The team has removed him from the injury report ahead of the game. Thomas last saw action on Jan. 2, missing 24 games due to a hamstring injury. Before going down, Thomas enjoyed a big start to the season, averaging a career-high 24.7 points. He will immediately become Brooklyn's top scoring option again, though the team might monitor Thomas' workload following his extended layoff. Keon Johnson and Tyrese Martin will likely have to settle for lesser roles in the rotation now that Thomas is back.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Brooklyn Nets guard Cam Thomas (hamstring) remains out on Saturday against the 76ers. The 2021 No. 27 overall pick has had the best season of his career, averaging 24.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.4 assists. However, he's appeared in only two games since the November 25 win over the Golden State Warriors. On a positive note, Thomas has resumed 5-on-5 practice sessions. "Recovery is going great," said Thomas recently. "Can't wait to get back on the court." The Nets are currently on the outside of a Play-In berth, so the team hopes to get him back in the lineup as soon as possible. But with D'Angelo Russell (ankle) sidelined, Brooklyn will rely mostly on Cameron Johnson, Keon Johnson, Trendon Watford, and Nicolas Claxton for production.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

Brooklyn Nets guard Cam Thomas (hamstring) is scheduled to undergo additional testing on Wednesday. Afterwards, the Nets are expected to give a better timetable on the possible return of Thomas. He has been out since early January, but hopefully won't be missing much more action. Thomas has reportedly been doing on-court and non-contact workouts, which means he should be inching closer to a return. The expectation is that Thomas is going to be under a minutes limit once he is cleared to play. In the meantime, Keon Johnson should continue benefiting with increased playing time.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller

Brooklyn Nets guard Cam Thomas (hamstring) sustained a new hamstring strain against the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday and will be re-evaluated after the team's upcoming west coast road trip, according to the team. The Nets' final game of that road trip is January 19th in Oklahoma City, sidelining Thomas for at least two weeks before being re-evaluated. Thomas strained his left hamstring, which is the same hamstring that caused him to miss all but one game in December. The 23-year-old has been a dynamic offensive scorer when healthy but has only been able to play in 19 of Brooklyn's 34 games this season. In his absence, expect newly acquired D'Angelo Russell to get extended run at point guard.--Kevin Larson - RotoBaller
