18 seconds agoHouston Astros rookie outfielder Cam Smith will retreat to the bench for Wednesday's contest against the visiting Toronto Blue Jays at Daikin Park. With Smith getting a breather, Zach Dezenzo will start in right field and bat seventh against Blue Jays right-hander Bowden Francis. Smith will get a day of rest after starting each of the team's last 13 games. During that span, the 22-year-old prospect went 12-for-44 (.273) at the plate with three home runs, a triple, 10 RBI, a steal, seven runs scored, three walks and 11 strikeouts to rebound after a slow start to his first MLB season. The former 14th overall pick last year by the Chicago Cubs out of Florida State tore it up in spring training but looked overmatched early on during the regular season. He's now hitting .226/.304/.403 and should continue to play regularly in right field for Houston. Dezenzo has never faced Francis in his career.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
