Cam Robinson Accepts Franchise Tag
4 years agoJacksonville Jaguars left tackle Cam Robinson officially accepted his franchise tag on Thursday, according to a source. The tag amount for offensive linemen this year is just under $14 million, and that will be guaranteed for Robinson in 2021. The second-round pick of the team in 2017 has appeared in 47 games in his four seasons in the league. It's likely that Robinson will be protecting a rookie next season in Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who is expected to be taken by Jacksonville with the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming draft. The Jaguars and Robinson can still negotiate a long-term contract extension up until the deadline in July.
