5 years agoCarolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton (foot) suffered a foot injury in the preseason game against the Patriots on Thursday. Newton was 4-for-6 for 30 yards before exiting after he was sacked outside the pocket. For those that already drafted Newton as their starting quarterback, you'll be holding your breath until we find out more about the severity of the injury. Newton's fantasy stock had already fallen after he missed the tail end of last year and had right shoulder surgery for the second straight offseason. If Superman is forced to miss the start of the regular season, it'll be Kyle Allen or Taylor Heinicke taking snaps.
