Cam Hill Undergoes Surgery On Wrist
4 years agoCleveland Indians rookie relief pitcher Cam Hill (wrist) underwent surgery on his right wrist on Tuesday after being involved in a car accident. Dr. Brian Chalkin operated on Hill's lunate bone, which is located in the mid-carpal joint. The surgery went "as expected," but the team doesn't have any details on when Hill might be able to pitch. He made his big league debut in 2020 on July 26 and recorded his first save two days later against the White Sox. The 26-year-old was 2-0 with a 4.91 ERA in 18 appearances with the Tribe during the shortened season. In his only playoff outing against the Yankees in Game 1 of the wild-card series, Hill allowed three runs.
