Cam Akers Will Attempt To Play Against Cardinals
4 years agoLos Angeles Rams running back Cam Akers (ankle) is a game-time decision, though he will try to play through his injury on Sunday against the Cardinals. Akers was "making progress" with his sprained ankle, according to head coach Sean McVay, who also added he wouldn't bet against his rookie back after he was able to return against New York with the ankle injury. The Rams are already down Darrell Henderson Jr. (ankle), so Akers' presence would be an especially welcome one. If Akers goes, he should be considered a risky RB2 against the league's 23rd-ranked run defense. If he's inactive, Malcolm Brown would operate as the lead back and enter the RB2 discussion.
