2 years agoUpdate: Cam Akers has been ruled out for personal reasons. Los Angeles Rams running back Cam Akers has a home game against the flailing Carolina Panthers in Week 6, which could result in a more favorable game script for his fantasy production. The Panthers defense ranks No. 27 in rushing yards allowed per game and No. 12 in yards per attempt. Akers was shutdown last week by the Cowboys defense, which ranks No. 21 in yards per carry, but the Panthers defense is considerably worse against the pass, so the Rams passing game could open up running lanes this week. If the Rams get out to a lead against the 1-4 Panthers, they could run the ball more later in the game.
