Calvin Ridley Plagued By Drops In Disapointing Week 3 Effort
1 year agoJacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Calvin Ridley had three receptions for 40 yards on seven targets in the loss to Houston this past weekend. It was the second week in a row the wideout failed to break a top-50 positional ranking, after finishing as WR6 in Week 1. Last week's struggles seemed to be more of a byproduct of the Jags offense as a whole, but this week Ridley shot himself in the foot with an NFL-high four drops, including one that would've been a touchdown in the first quarter. The former Alabama star was still second on the team in targets, so quarterback Trevor Lawrence continues to look his way, but he is rapidly sliding out of fantasy managers' good graces. Next week will be telling as to whether or not Ridley can be a trusted fantasy commodity this season, as the Jaguars take on the Falcons in London.
