1 year agoJacksonville Jaguars Wide Receiver Calvin Ridley will look to get his fifth NFL season off to a hot start on Sunday in Indianapolis. This will be the first real down of football Ridley has played in almost two years after being suspended all of 2022. The former first-round pick out of Alabama has proven to be a game-breaker in his short career, peaking as the WR5 in PPR formats just three years ago. Many have been awaiting the return of Ridley for quite some time and are psyched about the potential between the electric receiver and QB Trevor Lawrence, who is poised to leap another QB tier this season. Fantasy managers should fire up Ridley with confidence in Week 1 against the Colts, a team that boasts a relatively inexperienced secondary, though it's worth noting that Indy was quite good against receivers in 2022 (sixth best). Ridley should still be able to take advantage of their young crop of corners and turn in borderline WR1 numbers to start the season.--Ryan J. Goodman
